We all like to keep abreast of new trends – and a lot is happening in permanent and semi-permanent makeup at the moment. In fact, it is improving all the time, with new and more refined procedures, and our clients say they are only sorry they didn’t try it sooner.

Permanent makeup should be comfortable, suitable for everyday use and as natural as possible. And it certainly saves a lot of time.

On the Sunshine Coast, Clynic finds that eyebrow procedure is still the most popular, followed by lip tattoos, but microblading may be on its way out, despite its super-thin strokes, especially for anyone with oily skin and large pores. It’s powder brushing now, which is easier to learn, refine and perfect. Powder brows look more natural and last longer too.

Fake looks are out of date

And then there is nanoblading, which is more sophisticated than microblading, because the hairs are finer. And brow lamination, if you already have a lot of brow hair. It brushes and lifts your brows up.

But microblading is still the most popular procedure by far

Permanent Makeup Sunshine Coast – Lips, Eyebrows, Eyeliner & Lashes

Permanent eyeliner, usually applied in two colours, is more gentle than it used to be – and is a perfect, long-term, smudge-free solution, and therefore very sought after.

And lash lifts, or perms, have become more popular now than lash extensions, because they look more natural

Thanks to Instagram, freckles are in, and many people who hated their freckles when they were children think it would really be fun to have them back again now.

Semi-permanent lip tattoos or lip blush are ideal for plumper lips, for those who like colour, and for covering up imperfections and pigment while maintaining a natural look.

Scar camouflage, or micro pigmentation, which can be used over acne too, applies flesh tone pigments in the skin to correct and make scars invisible, and lasts for years if you keep out of direct sunlight.

At Clynic, we know that every face has its own interesting and unique features, which make up its individual style. And our passion is to enhance what already exists, and to enrich our clients’ appearance, finding solutions and enhancing natural beauty and physical confidence. If you are on the Sunshine Coast, call Clynic today for the most professional advice and information – and make an appointment so that you too can look your very best after cosmetic tattoo artistry.

The Pros and Cons of Permanent Makeup https://staging.clynic.com.au/permanent-makeup-sunshine-coast/ https://staging.clynic.com.au/permanent-makeup-sunshine-coast/#respond Wed, 07 Jul 2021 08:11:22 +0000 https://clynic.com.au/?p=2870 Permanent Makeup Sunshine Coast: Eyes, Eyebrows & Lips

Have you ever considered permanent makeup – or cosmetic tattoos or micropigmentation as it is also called? The tattoo artist will use a pen which contains iron oxide to tattoo eyeliner or lipstick or eyebrows and create the look of makeup. Permanent makeup can even camouflage scars, and fill in an uneven hairline too.

Remember though that although permanent makeup will certainly fade with time, and need touching up occasionally, it is very difficult to remove entirely. So that does make it a real commitment.

Anyone can have permanent makeup just because they want to, but it is especially useful for someone with poor eyesight or shaky hands – or who is very impatient about getting up and getting ready, and anyone playing sport. That means anyone suffering from cataracts or arthritis or even multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s – and anyone who has had a stroke – may find it a godsend to avoid putting on makeup while still managing to look their best.

And don’t forget that areas on the eyes, eyebrows and lips do change with age. Fashions change too.

Have a proper consultation before making any final decision – find out whether you will need anaesthesia, and look at the tattoo artist’s credentials. Check their experience and, of course, how clean and hygienic their office is. Do they use medical-grade sterilisation and high quality ink? How long have they been in this profession? Where did they train and where have they worked? Do they give natural results, and what is their follow-up care policy? What is your skin type, and what do they advise? Most importantly, is this what you want and do you feel confident?

Permanent Makeup with Cosmetic Tattooing in the Sunshine Coast

There is always a risk of infection when needles are involved: the body may react, and some people are allergic to certain tattoo inks. Short-term side effects of permanent makeup may include swelling, tenderness and occasional bruising.

But permanent makeup does save time and boost confidence: “Makeup is not a mask that covers up your beauty; it’s a weapon that helps you express who you are from the inside,” Lyn O’Connor of Clynic – Cosmetic Tattoo Artistry always says.

Call Lyn at Clynic if you are on the Sunshine Coast. She really is both a cosmetic tattoo specialist and an artist who achieves the best possible results. Try a tattoo today. Permanent makeup may prove to be a real blessing for you.

All You Need To Know About The Keratin Lash Lift https://staging.clynic.com.au/keratin-lash-lift-sunshine-coast/ https://staging.clynic.com.au/keratin-lash-lift-sunshine-coast/#respond Wed, 31 Mar 2021 11:08:52 +0000 https://clynic.com.au/?p=2739 Lash Lift Sunshine Coast

Fed up of forever fiddling with false eyelashes or spending time having lash extensions? Then why not try a keratin lash lift and save yourself a lot of time and trouble. Your lashes will come out looking their very best, and you will not need to think about them again for between six and eight weeks.

Restore the natural structure of your eyelashes, moisturise them and increase their volume

The keratin lash lift we offer is more gentle than standard lash lifts. Instead of breaking the hair bonds, the keratin allows the hair to be ‘bent’ without breaking the bond, which ensures the integrity of the hair. And we do recommend a 20 minute Botox protein treatment at the end of a lash lift to fill any holes in the hair and strengthen it from the inside out.

Achieve that irresistible look you have always wanted when you flutter your long, thick eyelashes

With a keratin-infused lash lift, attention will be drawn to your eyes – the mirrors of your soul – and you will be able to further enhance them with mascara and eye make-up after just 24 hours.

We know that you will want to come back for more once you’ve put yourself in the hands of the experts at Clynic.

We can work together to give you the most glorious eyelashes, because our team is here to advise you and to help you decide. We would like to tell you about all our other services too, such as eyebrow tattoos and permanent eye liner to make your eyes even more dramatic without any hard work in front of the mirror.

Give yourself a real treat – sit back, relax, and enjoy a day of pure indulgence and a dramatically voluminous look!

Clynic is well-established on the Sunshine Coast, with a reputation for being nurturing and professional, reliable and competent, and a loyal clientele who trust us with all their beauty needs, from cosmetic tattoos to male and female waxings.

Give us a ring to make an appointment, and you may be assured that you will be in the care of make-up artists of the highest order

Clynic knows that every single face has its own interesting and unique features which make up its individual style, and we would like to find the best solutions for yours. Contact us today!

How to achieve the effect of full lips https://staging.clynic.com.au/full-lips-tattooing-sunshine-coast/ https://staging.clynic.com.au/full-lips-tattooing-sunshine-coast/#respond Mon, 02 Nov 2020 10:55:47 +0000 https://clynic.com.au/?p=2671 Lips Tattooing Sunshine Coast

Get fuller lips without surgery! No more smudged lipstick, no more lip colour that fades! At Clynic, we offer cosmetic lip tattooing in Sunshine Coast!

Cosmetic tattooing has become the norm. Call in to the Clynic salon in Landsborough for a consultation, and discuss what you would like to achieve, the look you desire, and let specialist cosmetic artists pre-draw the effect so that you can visualise and refine it until it is just right.

Give yourself the freedom of knowing that your lips are perfect 24/7

While lip tattooing was really a daunting prospect a few years ago, nowadays the whole process has been improved and refined to minimize any discomfort and lip tattoos are high up on the list of preferred beauty treatments throughout the world.

Kylie Jenner turned her love for lip liner into a beauty empire

It is not only a matter of women wanting full, pouty lips à la Angelina Jolie. In many cases, it is a desire to create definition and symmetry, and of course to increase your own confidence in your appearance.

We value our clients, and our clients value us

Cosmetic tattoo artistic specialists like Lyn and the team at Clynic can help you to achieve the look you would like through semi-permanent cosmetic enhancement and with minimum irritation, thanks to the very latest technology and newest techniques. For example, in lip blushing, the tattoo not only corrects uneven lips, it enhances the shape and the size of your lips also.

Lyn’s expertise lies in her subtle approach of using colour to enrich your appearance

If you want to add permanent colour, be sure to choose a shade that you will feel comfortable enough living with for at least a year or two. It is also advisable to bring samples of your favourite shades along to the consultation, so that whatever hue you eventually decide on can be matched when the tattoo is done.

At Clynic, proper hygiene, sanitation, and maintaining a healthy environment for our clients and team is and always has been a top priority

Imagine, no more smudged lipstick, and no more lip colour that fades. It won’t come off on a facemask either. More balanced and symmetrical lips will see you through the day and night without a problem. What could be better or more welcome than that? We know: nothing! Contact us today to book your time at Clynic.

Put yourself in our hands, and let us do the rest.

The treatments you need for fuller, healthier lashes https://staging.clynic.com.au/eyelash-curl-lash-lift-treatment-sunshine-coast/ https://staging.clynic.com.au/eyelash-curl-lash-lift-treatment-sunshine-coast/#respond Wed, 15 Jul 2020 10:19:41 +0000 https://clynic.com.au/?p=2234 Lash Lift, Eyelash Curl & Tint, Sunshine Coast

Eyelashes are a facial feature that we simply tend to take for granted: they are there; they are always the same, and we just put on the mascara and voilà, all is well. Wrong though! Like everything else, eyelashes can become dull and weak – and that is when you might welcome the latest treatments offered by Lyn and her team at Clynic – Cosmetic Tattoo Artistry.

“I once made the mistake of going for a whole row of false eyelashes, which was just wrong as it gave me a sad, puppy-eyed look.” Sienna Miller

Great strides have been made in the strengthening and care of eyelashes, to make them longer, thicker and more voluminous, and leading the pack is lash lamination. Keratin is used to lift your lashes and enhance their thickness and darkness. An added bonus is that the treatment can help to strengthen your lashes at the same time. Each treatment should last from 6-10 weeks, provided that care is taken in maintenance, and you will never have to use glue again for those lashes.

“Every woman should wear make-up. It takes years off. I’m wearing lots of false eyelashes today, and to me, lipstick is the best cosmetic that exists.” Joan Collins

YUMI lashes is a treatment developed in Switzerland that lifts, curls and tints your natural lashes and does away with the need for extensions. While there is nothing to stop you from wearing mascara after you have had a YUMI treatment, most people find that it is no longer necessary to do so as the YUMI lashes look just as good without any enhancement. What more can one say? You just have to lie down and let the serum work its magic. It is that simple!

“Honey, I am going to my grave with my eyelashes and my makeup on.” Tammy Faye Bakker

Mayamy lashes are another option: they not only highlight your lashes, but also help to strengthen them and keep them healthy.

“What I have to say is far more important than how long my eyelashes are.” Walter Scott

But always seek the professional advice of an expert beauty specialist before you decide how you want to proceed – and who better than the team at Clynic? Lyn’s reputation speaks for itself: experienced, nurturing, competent and always with the client’s best interests at heart. Call us now!

Sculpt and set your eyebrows with an eyebrow lamination at Clynic https://staging.clynic.com.au/brow-lift-eyebrow-lamination-sunshine-coast/ https://staging.clynic.com.au/brow-lift-eyebrow-lamination-sunshine-coast/#respond Thu, 04 Jun 2020 09:52:46 +0000 https://clynic.com.au/?p=1819 Eyebrow Lamination Sunshine Coast

No more waxing or threading! Get beautiful brows with eyebrow lamination or lift in Sunshine Coast! Book today: 07 5494 8251

Once upon a time, waxing and threading were the main treatments to shape your brows. Today, there’s brow lamination, henna brow tint and semi-permanent cosmetic tattoos – all of which might sound a little confusing or overwhelming. Fear not! These are all different treatments which work to colour, sculpt or set your eyebrows, so you can say goodbye to daily eyebrow maintenance and hello to a little extra you-time in the morning.

Have you got eyebrow hairs that stray or just never seem to stay set in place?

Want more feathery, defined lashes that still look natural?

Brow lamination is a treatment that sets your eyebrows in place for a structured, sculpted look you don’t have to redo every morning.

How does it work?

Unlike cosmetic tattoos, in which hairs are etched onto the skin with a microblade or digital machine, brow lamination is simply a solution applied to your eyebrow hairs. First the brows are cleaned and brushed into shape. An adhesive is applied to hold them in place. They are then treated with a solution that helps to condition and strengthen the hairs. This solution is then removed and brows are trimmed and sculpted if needed. To finish off, a protein solution is applied.

Who can get them?

For an eyebrow lamination to be effective, you need to already have eyebrow hair.

It’s great for people whose eyebrow hairs go in different directions, so you can set them in their place! It’s also great for people who want to set an upward stroke to their brow hairs.

How long does a lash lamination last?

The brow lamination treatment will set your brow hairs into place for up to 8 weeks! It all depends on the natural cycle of your eyebrow hair.

Does it add any colour to your brow hairs?

In a brow lamination treatment, the brow hairs are lifted and set into place – this does not add any colour. However, a lot of our clients like to add in tinting with a lamination to add even more definition to their brows.

Wanting to bring a little more definition and structure to your eyebrows with an brow lamination? Get in touch with us at Clynic today by calling us on (07) 5494 8251. We’re located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Landsborough – just moments away from Buderim, Caloundra, Ilkley, Maleny, Montville and the Glass House Mountains.

Get dark and long eyelashes with lash lamination in Sunshine Coast. Eyelash lift treatment at great prices! Book today at Clynic: 07 5494 8251

Eyelashes are considered by many as a sign of health. In Ancient Egyptian, eye makeup was worn by wealthy citizens on the brows, lashes and lids. Dark eyelashes are also considered to indicate femininity.

It can’t be denied that long, luscious, healthy and voluminous lashes help to open and widen our eyes – enhancing our natural beauty.

Today, there are many different ways you can bring length, colour and volume to your lashes. Lash extensions are one way – where individual synthetic hairs are added to your lash line with glue. You may not have heard of a lash lamination or ‘lash lift’, which brings thickness and darkness to your lashes, much like getting eyelash extensions. If you’re a bit unsure about what lash lamination is, we’ve compiled some key information below:

Keratin lash lamination is a more gentle approach when compared with lash perming

In a lash lamination, keratin is used to naturally lift your lashes and enhance their thickness and darkness. In addition to lifting your lashes, the keratin can also help to strengthen your lashes.

A lash lamination helps to repair damaged and short lashes

Like a keratin treatment for your hair, a lash lamination helps your damaged and short lashes to gain strength and length. It is deeply moisturising and helps to increase their volume. So if your lashes have been damaged, a lash lamination helps to bring them back to life.

It can last 6-10 weeks

The amount of time your lifted lashes last will depend on how well you care for them and the natural cycle of your lashes. You also need to be cautious of using oil-based makeup or makeup remover, as the oil can disrupt the keratin.

They can look more natural-looking and easier to maintain than lash extensions

A lash lift is a simple way to bring a natural-looking thickness and length to your lashes, without the glues and maintenance of lash extensions. And you’ll have no more tangled lashes.

Are you looking to open your eyes with thicker lashes or want a treatment that strengthens and nourishes your lashes? Book your appointment to lift your eyelashes today by calling us on (07) 5494 8251, or fill out the form on our website here. We’re located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland and service Buderim, Caloundra, Landsborough, Ilkley and surrounds!

Get fuller lips with cosmetic lip tattoos in Sunshine Coast! Semi permanent full lips that last 12-18 months! Book today at Clynic: 07 5494 8251

Cosmetic lip tattoos are becoming more sought after, as people realise how many great benefits there are. To name a few – how about a lip colour that lasts all day long? Or not having your dream lip colour all year round, without having to apply or remove it? If you want to read more of the benefits of lip tattoos and why you should consider getting one, check out one of our previous blog posts here.

But more than the time-saving benefits and reduced mess of removing and applying, there’s a big benefit that isn’t often talked about …

Lip tattoos can add volume and fullness to your lips!

That’s right – you can increase the plumpness with your lips, AND have a semi-permanent colour added to your lips with a lip tattoo.

What’s the process of a lip tattoo?

First, a design is drawn onto your lips so you can confirm you’re getting the design you want. With a digital or rotary machine, the colour pigments are placed into the lips.

Does it hurt?

The pain of a lip tattoo depends on your individual pain tolerance. Aftercare is also extremely important to avoid infection. Clynic provides a link to a cosmetic compounding pharmacist where you are able to purchase numbing solutions to reduce/nil sensitivity.

Why does it add volume?

A lip tattoo enhances the collagen in your lips and increases their elasticity, which contributes to the appearance of a fuller lip. Some clients have experienced up to 3mm difference.

How long will my lips be fuller?

The collagen can last for 12-18 months!

Love the idea of a lip tattoo and want to book in?

To book a consultation or find out more about lip tattoos, call us now on (07) 5494 8251 or book on our website.

We also offer other cosmetic tattoo treatments

Whether you’re after defined brows that you don’t have to shape and fill in every day, or eyeliner that won’t wash or rub off, our team can help. We offer cosmetic brow tattoos and cosmetic eyeliner tattoos, which like lip tattoos, are semi permanent makeup treatments to help take the fuss and time out of makeup.

We’re located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Landsborough – Just moments away from Buderim, Caloundra, Ilkley, Maleny, Montville and the Glass House Mountains.

Problems with sensitive skin? Lyn O’Connor has been a committed facial therapist and cosmetic tattooist in Sunshine Coast for over 20 years and she can help!

What do you mean by sensitive skin? Do you flush and come out in a rash without warning? Do beauty products and scents sting and burn? And what should you do about it? Firstly, what triggers it? Stress? Emotion? The weather?

Erno Laszlo said “Beautiful skin requires commitment, not a miracle”.

Do you use a gentle, soap-free cleanser and lukewarm water to clean your face at night? And a soothing, moisturising facemask regularly before an intensely hydrating serum? Exfoliating is important too. Have you checked all your skincare products and cosmetics to see that there are no ingredients you are intolerant of or even allergic to. Fragrances? Antibiotics? Rubber? Even metals — think jewellery and watches. Wash your hands frequently too, and try not to scratch. Do use high factor sun protection, even when it’s cloudy.

Jana Elston said “Your skin has a memory. In 10, 20, 30 years from now, your skin will show the results of how it was treated today. So treat it kindly and with respect.”

Sensitive skin is usually caused by irritated nerve ends. They may be irritated by the sun or by pollution or sudden changes in temperature, by hard water or hot water or just by the chlorinated water in a swimming pool, by dry skin or dehydration — are you drinking enough water? Or by stress or lack of sleep or by hormonal changes.

Dr. Georgianna Donadio said “Your skin is the fingerprint of what is going on inside your body, and all skin conditions, from psoriasis to acne to aging, are the manifestations of your body’s internal needs, including its nutritional needs.”

Simple moisturising creams with glycerin, hyaluronic acid, petrolatum (mineral oil jelly), ceramides, or lipids may suit you, and lotions with chamomile, aloe, and green tea polyphenols tend to soothe sensitive skin. Cool, steeped green tea or chamomile tea bags are anti-inflammatory and so are oatmeal and cold milk or yogurt. Try a compress using one of those when your skin is red and irritated.

Discuss your skin and makeup problems with Clynic, the cosmetic and paramedical tattooing specialists on the Sunshine Coast.

Lyn O’Connor has been a committed facial therapist for over 20 years and she may be able to advise and help. Call Clynic today and speak to her.

Why cosmetic lip tattoos may be perfect for you https://staging.clynic.com.au/cosmetic-lip-tattoo-sunshine-coast/ https://staging.clynic.com.au/cosmetic-lip-tattoo-sunshine-coast/#respond Mon, 07 Oct 2019 11:30:06 +0000 https://clynic.com.au/?p=1731 Lip Tattoo Sunshine Coast

Ever considered getting a lip tattoo in Sunshine Coast? Save on time, mess and constant lipstick reapplying with cosmetic lip tattoos!

Not an inner lip tattoo that says your lovers name or the word “Meow” like Kendall Jenner. The lip tattoos we do here at Clynic are on the outer lip. Imagine having your favourite lipstick colour on, 24/7. No smudging, removing, reapplying or touching up. You wake up and go to sleep, with the same beautiful shade.

Why get a cosmetic lip tattoo?

1. Some people work in an industry where they are applying and removing makeup every single day. Maybe you’re an air hostess or work in the beauty industry. With a cosmetic lip tattoo you can have your lips ready to go without moving a muscle. They are also great for swimmers, athletes, or anyone else who is sweating lots or always in the water. Or maybe you just want to remove the fuss of applying and maintaining your lipstick every day – regardless of how you spend your days, cosmetic lip tattoos can be a great way to save on time, mess and constant reapplying. All you’ll need is a smile.

2. If you have asymmetrical lips, a cosmetic lip tattoo may be a great option. We can create a new lip line that is more symmetrical but still works with your natural beauty.

3. Having a cosmetic lip tattoo doesn’t mean you can’t change the colour of your lips from time to time. You can still put traditional lipstick over the top, but the benefit is that the added lipstick will stay on for longer if you have cosmetic tattoo lips, than on regular lips.

4. They can last for over a year!

5. You can choose from a variety of colours – but we suggest going with something natural – you can always enhance it with different colours later.

6. With the treatment, you’ll also gain a collagen lift and renewed, freshened lips.

If you want to learn more or book in an appointment with the Sunshine Coast’s cosmetic tattoo specialists, call Clynic on 07 5494 8251 or fill in our online appointment form here.
