Intraceutical Oxygenation Facials are certainly revolutionary, and they are bliss too! If you really want to just relax, unwind and be pampered and cossetted – and if you are into instant gratification – then just come over here and try one. It’s sheer heaven and you’ll love it!

What exactly is it though?

Hyperbaric oxygen, a well-established treatment for decompression sickness, involves breathing pure oxygen in a pressurised environment, and it is used to deliver intraceutical serums to the skin. When the oxygen and serums are administered together, that nourishes, hydrates and plumps the skin, and takes away lines and wrinkles. It’s seriously invigorating and revitalizing.

Does your skin actually need hydrating?

Just try our Rejuvenate oxygenation facial. It suits all skin types, and its special antioxidants and vitamins tone the skin too.

And how about for lighter, brighter, more luminous skin?

Then try our Opulence serum, with Vitamin C and botanicals. It even works on dull, uneven skin.

And then there’s our Clarity oxygenation facial!

That calms, cools and hydrates the skin, and its vitamins protect against impurities as well.

We can give you Vitamin A, Vitamin C+3, antioxidant and collagen booster treatments too

If you are on the Sunshine Coast, and you want to look younger and better and happier, then call Lyn O’Connor at Clynic in Landsborough and make an appointment. When you leave, you’ll be radiant, and your skin will feel smooth, nourished and hydrated.

Remember, this treatment is non-invasive, painless and safe

Hyperbaric Oxygen Technology delivers therapeutic grade oxygen, and their three step hyaluronic layering forms the basis of comprehensive Intraceuticals treatments, which provide speedy, visible results, scientifically designed to revive, replenish and protect your skin.

The Best Anti-Aging Facial Treatments https://staging.clynic.com.au/the-best-anti-aging-facial-treatments/ https://staging.clynic.com.au/the-best-anti-aging-facial-treatments/#respond Wed, 10 Mar 2021 10:46:11 +0000 https://clynic.com.au/?p=2745 Facials Sunshine Coast

Botox: These injections, which last up to four months, remain a popular tried and tested treatment to relax the facial muscles, smoothing out lines and wrinkles.

Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing: A laser delivers microbeams into the lower layers of skin, creating layers of tissue coagulation which reduce the appearance of fine lines and minimise scars.

Dermabrasion and Microdermabrasion: Exfoliating techniques using a rotating instrument to remove the other layers of skin are used to treat fine lines, uneven textures, and scars. Healing can take up to 10 days. Microdermabrasion is a less aggressive treatment than dermabrasion.

Nonablative Skin Rejuvenation: A laser is used to improve the appearance of wrinkles, brown spots and minor scars by creating heat in the skin surface, which promotes collagen production, causing the skin to tighten and look younger.

Chemical Peels: Used to treat wrinkles, age spots, superficial scarring and discolouration, an acid solution is applied to the skin, dissolving skin cells and removing the top layer of the epidermis.

Microneedling: As the name implies, an instrument containing multiple thin, sharp needles is applied to the skin, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin.

While the above treatments are idolised and desired, they can be quite invasive to the skin. That is why at Clynic we recommend using Intraceuticals products and our O2 facials before heading down that intrusive pathway. With a double cleanse and deep exfoliation, infusing serums deep into the skin using hyperbaric oxygen and taking home your ideal skincare products, you will be on your way to tighter, brighter, and plumper skin. Our favourite serums are:

Rejuvenate, which instantly hydrates, lifts and tightens by improving skin hydration and volume, leaving the skin looking radiantly younger

Opulence, which is ideal for dull, uneven skin tone, dark spots, melanoma, sun damage and premature ageing

Antioxidant serum, which reveals a younger looking more even complexion

Atoxelene serum, which instantly revives, refines, softens and smooths as well as plumping, and is a natural alternative to more extreme procedures.

Facial: Top five procedures for a spring refresh https://staging.clynic.com.au/sunshine-coast-facials-treatments/ https://staging.clynic.com.au/sunshine-coast-facials-treatments/#respond Mon, 09 Nov 2020 10:03:16 +0000 https://clynic.com.au/?p=2678 Sunshine Coast Facials & Tattoo Treatments

The best Sunshine Coast facials – Rejuvenate your skin with facial treatments, brow maintenance, lips and eyeliner tattooing! Amaze people with your new look!

It’s spring, always a time for renewal and rejuvenation, and for fresh, up to date beauty procedures and treatments too. It’s really the best time of year to give some attention to you and look after your appearance and skin whilst investing in yourself and know your worth it.

Clynic’s culture is to find solutions for the enhancement of natural beauty and physical confidence

At Clynic, we automatically monitor every new trend in the field of beauty treatments very closely, and here are the top five procedures for this spring:

Clynic’s spring suggestions

1. Why don’t you treat yourself to some cosmetic tattoo artistry and give yourself permanent eyeliner so that you won’t have to spend ages applying that line around your eyes every morning — and probably have to top up during the day.

2. And you could have a lip tattoo and throw away some of those sticky lipsticks that fade and need constant touching up all day, with the added benefit of far better defined, symmetrical lips that do not require constant enhancement.

3. Tattoo your eyebrows! Ombre Brows are a semi-permanent tattooing technique that creates softly shaded brows to fill in sparse or thinning brows, giving you an effortless full brow and no need for any more expensive pencils or gels, adding colour, enhancing or defining a brow, takes years away from your face/image

4. Indulge in a relaxing, therapeutic/cosmeceutical facial. Set yourself up for the rest of the year with one of Clynic’s highly trained professionals. You’ll come away feeling years younger.

5. Treat yourself — and your partner too — to an oxygenation facial, brow maintenance, waxing treatments (male and female waxings are available at Clynic) so that you are well prepared for summer and the Sunshine Coast beaches.

The health and well-being of both the professional beauty industry and its clientele is our top priority

You can check with our team to see if we are offering any new treatments, apart from cosmetic tattooing, high performance peptide facials, oxygenation facials, dermaplaning, specialised brow and lash services and body piercing

We want you, our valued clients, to know that your peace of mind, health and safety are our prime concern

Clynic will always do their utmost to meet your requests, and our team are on hand to tell you all about the latest treatments. Book your appointment now!

Naturally, due to Covid-19 we are taking extra measures to go above and beyond our normal protocol to ensure the health and safety of our clients and staff, as we continue business as usual.

Facial Treatments in the Sunshine Coast, Landsborough, Caloundra, Palmview, Montville, Chevallum, Beerwah.

Hydrated, glowing, gorgeous skin is something we all strive for. It’s why we take pride in our skin care routine and don’t mind splurging on a facial here and there. There are many factors that contribute to healthy skin – what we eat, how much water we drink, the products we use and the weather, all contribute to how our skin looks and feels.

Living on the Sunshine Coast, we can experience hot, humid days and dry Winters that can affect the health of our skin.

If you need to bring some lightness, brightness and radiance back to your skin, try an Oxygenation facial.

You may have heard about oxygenation facials from your favourite Victoria’s Secret model or Kardashian member. They are lesser known about in Australia, but definitely on the rise! The best thing is – you can get one right here on the beautiful Sunshine Coast at Clynic.

What are the benefits?

Oxygenation facials enhance your natural beauty by hydrating your face, boosting collagen and plumping your skin. All this works to give you a hydrated and more radiant look, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

What happens in an oxygenation facial?

In an oxygenation facial, professional strength Intraceutical serums are delivered to the skin with the help of Hyperbaric Oxygen. The oxygen helps to hydrate and plump the skin, whilst encouraging the absorption of serums to maximise their effect. Naturally, oxygen has a cooling effect on the skin.

Is there just one type of oxygenation facial?

Each oxygenation facial uses oxygen to apply the serums to the skin, but different serums can be used to target different skin concerns. Our Rejuvenate Oxygen treatment is suitable for all skin types and has a calming, relaxing effect on the skin. The Opulence Oxygen treatment lightens and brightens your skin to even out skin tone, perfect for dehydrated and dull skin. The Clarity Oxygen treatment is great for acne-affected skin, with oil-free nourishers that help to balance the moisture of the skin and prevent future breakouts. For our full range of facials, see the list on our website here.

Ready to book in? Or just find out more about this fantastic treatment? Call us today on (07) 5494 8251, or visit our website here. We’re located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Landsborough – Just moments away from Buderim, Caloundra, Ilkley, Maleny, Montville and the Glass House Mountains.

Problems with sensitive skin? Lyn O’Connor has been a committed facial therapist and cosmetic tattooist in Sunshine Coast for over 20 years and she can help!

What do you mean by sensitive skin? Do you flush and come out in a rash without warning? Do beauty products and scents sting and burn? And what should you do about it? Firstly, what triggers it? Stress? Emotion? The weather?

Erno Laszlo said “Beautiful skin requires commitment, not a miracle”.

Do you use a gentle, soap-free cleanser and lukewarm water to clean your face at night? And a soothing, moisturising facemask regularly before an intensely hydrating serum? Exfoliating is important too. Have you checked all your skincare products and cosmetics to see that there are no ingredients you are intolerant of or even allergic to. Fragrances? Antibiotics? Rubber? Even metals — think jewellery and watches. Wash your hands frequently too, and try not to scratch. Do use high factor sun protection, even when it’s cloudy.

Jana Elston said “Your skin has a memory. In 10, 20, 30 years from now, your skin will show the results of how it was treated today. So treat it kindly and with respect.”

Sensitive skin is usually caused by irritated nerve ends. They may be irritated by the sun or by pollution or sudden changes in temperature, by hard water or hot water or just by the chlorinated water in a swimming pool, by dry skin or dehydration — are you drinking enough water? Or by stress or lack of sleep or by hormonal changes.

Dr. Georgianna Donadio said “Your skin is the fingerprint of what is going on inside your body, and all skin conditions, from psoriasis to acne to aging, are the manifestations of your body’s internal needs, including its nutritional needs.”

Simple moisturising creams with glycerin, hyaluronic acid, petrolatum (mineral oil jelly), ceramides, or lipids may suit you, and lotions with chamomile, aloe, and green tea polyphenols tend to soothe sensitive skin. Cool, steeped green tea or chamomile tea bags are anti-inflammatory and so are oatmeal and cold milk or yogurt. Try a compress using one of those when your skin is red and irritated.

Discuss your skin and makeup problems with Clynic, the cosmetic and paramedical tattooing specialists on the Sunshine Coast.

Vitamin D Myths and the Sunscreen Truth https://staging.clynic.com.au/skin-clinic-facial-therapist-sunshine-coast/ https://staging.clynic.com.au/skin-clinic-facial-therapist-sunshine-coast/#respond Wed, 25 Sep 2019 11:26:17 +0000 https://clynic.com.au/?p=1645 Facial Therapist Sunshine Coast

How can Vitamin D help your skin? What is the best source? Expert advice by Lyn O’Connor, cosmetic tattooist and facial therapist in Sunshine Coast!

Vitamin D has received a lot of coverage recently with claims that it prevents everything from cancer to depression.

Always ask a professional

I went to see what facial therapist and cosmetic tattooing specialist Lyn O’Connor’s opinion is. After all, she has been in the business for over 20 years and provides her clients with a comprehensive consultation to hear their concerns and evaluate the best procedure to help enhance natural features.

You do not need to screen for vitamin D

“Moderation and balance in all things,” Lyn told me. “But while, yes, you do need a healthy vitamin D level for bone density, muscle aches and fatigue, you don’t need to panic about a deficiency. Fatty foods, dairy and fruit are major sources of vitamin D, although they don’t really provide enough. Sunshine does, but that causes all sorts of other problems. Even doctors don’t seem to agree on what the right level of vitamin D — calcium — in the blood is, and no one slathers on enough sunscreen to block all UV rays.”

There have not been randomised controlled trials that show a clear causal relationship between vitamin D and disease.

So back to taking supplements and going outside having taken proper precautions. Oddly enough, you are not more likely to have a vitamin D deficiency in winter than in summer, but does seem that older people need more Vitamin D than younger people, large people need more than small people, fat people need more than thin people, northern people need more than southern people and dark-skinned people need more than fair skinned people. Also that tanning lights and sitting behind glass don’t help.

My conclusion is:

Do strengthen your bones by eating fatty fish, dairy products, egg yolks, beef liver and foods fortified with Vitamin D and take supplements if you need to but, most importantly, be sensible about going out into the sun and protect yourself from UVB with plenty of sunscreen. There will still be enough sunshine to allow you to manufacture your own Vitamin D.

And if you are on the Sunshine Coast anywhere near Landsborough, do go and see Lyn. If there is anything she can do to help you, from makeup to waxing, you can be sure she wants to help.

Take care of dry skin now, so you don’t regret it later https://staging.clynic.com.au/skincare-facial-treatment-sunshine-coast/ https://staging.clynic.com.au/skincare-facial-treatment-sunshine-coast/#respond Fri, 20 Sep 2019 11:25:30 +0000 https://clynic.com.au/?p=1651 Facial Treatment Sunshine Coast

Having trouble with dry skin? Follow Lyn O’Connor’s skincare advice! Lyn is an expert on facial treatment in Sunshine Coast. Contact her at 07 5494 8251

Dry skin may be uncomfortable, rough and itchy. It may even be hereditary or it may come upon you with aging or medical conditions. But luckily it does usually respond quite quickly to a mindful daily care routine.

Pablo Picasso said “Everything is a miracle. It is a miracle that one does not dissolve in one’s bath like a lump of sugar.”

No more long, hot showers or baths, unfortunately, and no more harsh soaps or deep cleansers. Use only a very gentle gel or mild soap, and then slather on plenty of moisturiser afterwards while your skin is still wet.

“Give your stress wings and let it fly away.”

There are many soothing ingredients to look for in moisturisers, if you give yourself the time to read the labels, such as ceramides, dimethicone, glycerine, hyaluronic acid, lanolin and mineral oil, which is also called petroleum jelly. And you really need to wear generous applications of sunscreen always, whatever the weather. For itching or inflammation, try a hydrocortisone cream, or cool compresses should help. As far as homemade remedies are concerned, you can clean your face with a light olive oil at night, or use sunflower seed oil as a moisturiser, or coconut oil instead of a night cream. Honey is moisturising, healing and anti-inflammatory. Soaking the irritated area in aloe vera gel or petroleum jelly may provide relief. And lip balm is good too.

Joan Rivers said “Diets, like clothes, should be tailored to you.”

As far as diet is concerned, Omega-3 foods and drinking plenty of water — really plenty of water, and sipping it not gulping it down — should help, and eating nuts, avocados, sweet potatoes, oysters and cucumbers are recommended. Perhaps you might stick to wearing natural fibres like cotton and silk rather than synthetics or wool.

Khloe Kardashian said: “All the makeup in the world won’t make a difference without great skincare.”

Try to avoid skincare products containing alcohol, fragrances, retinoids or acid to retain your skin’s natural oils. And pay a visit to Lyn O’Connor at Clynic. The Sunshine Coast’s pre-eminent facial therapist, Lyn has been committed for over 20 years to creating a fresh, timeless and effortless image of and for all her clients though facials and makeup and tattooing. Why don’t you contact Lyn today for a free consultation?

Everyone who has suffered from acne knows how devastating it is. And although you realise what ridiculous advice well-meaning friends and acquaintances, and sometimes complete strangers, are giving you — everyone becomes a skin care specialist as soon as they look at you — you try absolutely everything they suggest just because it has apparently worked for someone else — and you are desperate. So you spend a fortune you don’t have on creams and peels and diets, hoping and praying for the best. There are no miracle cures.

“Acne doesn’t make you ugly. Everybody gets spots. Who cares?”

When 22-year-old Kendall Jenner was criticised for going to the 2018 Golden Globe Awards suffering from acne, she sent an inspiring message to her followers, saying “never let that shit stop you!” The stigma of acne seems to be reduced at last, thanks to sufferers who are on social media.

“I wasn’t a monster, I wasn’t mad, and it was perfectly normal to feel wretched at the sight of yet another horrific rash.”

Young people talk of being robbed of years of their life as they are convinced that everyone is staring at their acne. They talk of giving up and isolating themselves and being completely drained. But everyone who has gone through acne says that it will eventually go away and that underneath it you are the same person you always were.

Overcome the compulsion to pick. The most important piece of advice for every type of acne is not to pick.

It is essential to focus on the things you like about yourself, things that boost your confidence, and not to suffer in silence. Meditation helps some people, writing down their feelings helps others. Constant cleaning and vigorous scrubbing can do more harm than good. Exfoliation and gentle scrubs are better. If you feel self-conscious, embarrassed, ashamed, and angry, that’s normal. There is no point in pretending you don’t care. Go to a good dermatologist and do exactly what they say. However frustrated you may be, try to remain positive and patient.

Five Rules to Keep Your Skin Glowing https://staging.clynic.com.au/glowing-skin-specialist-sunshine-coast/ https://staging.clynic.com.au/glowing-skin-specialist-sunshine-coast/#respond Tue, 10 Sep 2019 11:25:27 +0000 https://clynic.com.au/?p=1442 Skin Specialist Sunshine Coast

Luxury facials and skin treatments at Clynic! Make an appointment with Lyn O’Connor, skin specialist in Sunshine Coast, and regain a youthful and glowing skin!

It is really worth looking after your skin. Always — all your life. And it is simple. Look around you and use your common sense. Here are some thoughtful, everyday tips to bear in mind from Lyn O’Connor at Clynic, who also reminds you: “Makeup is not a mask that covers up your beauty; it’s a weapon that helps you express who you are from the inside.”

5 Beauty Tips from Clynic Skin Specialist Sunshine Coast

Firstly, make sure you protect yourself from the sun — every day and in every way — especially if you live on the Sunshine Coast. Of course you need to take exercise, but shelter your face and body from direct sunlight to avoid age spots and wrinkles. And slather on the sunscreen with an SPF of 15 to 30, even when it’s cloudy. You need to block UVA and UVB rays.

Secondly, do not smoke cigarettes. Never smoke — and for good measure don’t vape either. You must have noticed that smoking makes your skin look older and greyer and gives you wrinkles…

Thirdly, be gentle with your skin. Look after it with creams and potions; treasure it and it will reward you. And don’t forget to take off your makeup — let your skin breathe overnight. If you want it to glow try putting some olive oil that does not smell too strong on a pad of cotton wool and take off makeup and dirt with that. Don’t forget to exfoliate regularly — twice a week would be good. When the dead skin is removed your face will glow. Spoil yourself with a face mask every week.

Fourthly, eat well. Eat a healthy, balanced, sensible diet with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, protein and vitamins ¬— and drink lots of water every day. Sip, don’t gulp. Increase vitamin C and reduce fats and sugar. Sugar is the worst.

And fifthly, although we all know how difficult it is, try not to overdo things and allow yourself to become stressed. Make sure you exercise regularly and sleep well too — at least six to eight hours a night.

And don’t forget to smile!

As well as all of the above, make an appointment with Lyn at Clynic, where you will be professionally pampered in a relaxing atmosphere to make you feel wonderful. Clynic does everything, from a first free consultation to facials and makeup, as well as tattooing and waxing.
